Five steps
- 1
Export the Gantt from ProjectManager.com
Open the project's Gantt view, choose Export, then CSV or Excel. Keep the WBS, Predecessors, Assigned To, Duration, % Complete, Start and Finish columns. - 2
Open Import a project in Planmoor
Sign in, choose Import a project from the dashboard, and upload the file. Planmoor recognises the ProjectManager.com column set. - 3
Check the preview
See the outline (from WBS numbering) as phases and nested tasks, the dependencies from Predecessors, and which assignees match people in your workspace. - 4
Create the project
Name the project, set the client and dates, and create it. Progress, dates and dependencies are in place; the critical path is calculated immediately. - 5

How ProjectManager.com maps to Planmoor
- WBS numbering gives the outline: top-level rows become phases, nested rows become tasks and subtasks
- Start, Finish and Duration come across in working days
- Predecessors become dependencies
- % Complete becomes progress; 100% marks the task done
- Assigned To is matched by email or name; unmatched people can be invited in one click
After the import
Save a baseline on the Gantt so variance is tracked from day one. Mark payment milestones as requiring sign-off and send the acceptance documents for signature. Replace the guest logins with a portal link. The full comparison lists what else changes.
Switch in one step
Export your ProjectManager.com project, upload the file, and Planmoor rebuilds it as phases, tasks, dependencies, people and dates. Coming off a paid tool? Your first three months of Agency are free.
Questions people ask
- Do predecessors become dependencies?
- Yes. Predecessors that reference WBS numbers or row IDs become finish-to-start dependencies.
- What about baselines?
- Baselines are not in the export. Save a new baseline in Planmoor once the imported dates are checked; variance is measured from there.
- Will my team's guests and clients need new accounts?
- No accounts at all. Clients get a portal link; team members get an invitation by email.
