A ProjectManager.com alternative at a third of the price

ProjectManager.com is a capable Gantt tool with a ten-user cap on its Team plan and most of the useful features on Business at about $28 a user. Planmoor Pro is $9 a seat with no cap, and adds the things client work needs that they do not have: e-signatures bound to milestones and a portal without logins.

14-day free Pro trial, no card needed. Clients are always free.

Where Planmoor is the better fit

  • Client sign-off is part of the plan. Scope, change requests, milestone acceptance and UAT certificates are signed online, and a milestone cannot close until it is. ProjectManager.com has no e-signatures.
  • Clients do not log in. Their guests are free but must create an account and see a read-only version of the tool. Planmoor gives the client a portal link designed for a client.
  • No seat cap and no Business tier. Timesheets, workload, budgets, automations and the report library are on Pro at $9, not on a $28 tier.
  • Templates that know the method. PRINCE2 stages and a PID, PMBOK process groups, IPMA, AgilePM. Theirs are generic task lists.
  • AI planning is included, not metered. A brief becomes a plan and a draft scope of work on every paid plan.

Where ProjectManager.com is the better fit

If you need a vendor with a decade of enterprise references, a dedicated account manager, or a security review process on an Enterprise contract, they offer that and Planmoor does not yet. Their MS Project import and export is mature. If your projects are internal, with no client to sign anything, several of Planmoor's advantages will not matter to you.

What switching looks like

Export the Gantt from ProjectManager.com as CSV or Excel. In Planmoor, choose Import a project and upload it. The WBS outline becomes phases and nested tasks, predecessors become dependencies, and dates, duration, percent complete and assignees come across. The critical path is calculated as soon as the project is created, and the client portal link is ready the same day. The step-by-step guide has the exact menu path.

Switch in one step

Export your ProjectManager.com project, upload the file, and Planmoor rebuilds it as phases, tasks, dependencies, people and dates. Coming off a paid tool? Your first three months of Agency are free.

Pricing, side by side

Planmoor Free: 3 seats, 3 projects, Gantt with critical path, portal and 5 signatures a month. Pro: $9 a seat a month on annual billing ($12 monthly). Agency: $19 ($25 monthly). ProjectManager.com, as of October 2026: Team at about $14 a user with a ten-user cap, Business at about $28 a user, Enterprise on request. Full details on the pricing page.

Questions people ask

Can I import my ProjectManager.com projects?
Yes. Export the Gantt as CSV or Excel and upload it. WBS numbering gives the outline, predecessors become dependencies, and dates, progress and assignees come across.
What does ProjectManager.com do that Planmoor does not?
They have been around longer and their enterprise tier includes things like a dedicated account manager and custom security reviews that Planmoor does not offer today. If you need a large-enterprise vendor relationship, that matters.
Is the first-three-months-free offer real?
Yes. Switch from any paid tool, send your last invoice to support, and your first three months of Planmoor Agency are credited.
