Proposals

Proposals the client signs, that start the project for you

A proposal in Planmoor is the first document of the project rather than a PDF that lives somewhere else. The client accepts and signs it from a link, and that one action creates the project, raises the deposit invoice and files the signed copy.

14-day free Pro trial, no card needed. Clients are always free.

From quote to kick-off in one signature

  1. 1

    Write the proposal

Scope, approach, phases and deliverables, with line items, quantities, unit prices and tax. Set a validity date so stale quotes expire on their own.
  2. 2

    Send the link

The client receives an email and opens a public page with your branding. They can read it on a phone; nobody has to download anything.
  3. 3

    The client accepts and signs

Name, signature, confirm. The audit trail records timestamp, IP and a hash of the content.
  4. 4

    The project starts

Planmoor creates the project from the template you chose, raises the deposit invoice, files the signed PDF on the project and tells you it happened.

Why proposals belong in the project tool

When the proposal lives in one system and the plan in another, the two drift apart within a week. The deliverables promised are not the milestones tracked; the fee quoted is not the budget measured against. Keeping both in Planmoor means the line items on P-0041 are the phases on the Gantt and the budget on the profitability report. When the client asks what they are paying for, everyone is looking at the same document.

Built for how agencies and consultants quote

  • Sequential numbering per workspace (P-0001, P-0002) so finance teams can reconcile
  • Line items with quantity, unit price, tax and totals, in your workspace currency
  • Validity dates: open proposals past their date show as expired
  • A deposit invoice raised on acceptance, with the rest invoiced from milestones
  • Your logo and colour on the public page and the PDF (white-label on Agency)
  • The signed PDF filed on the project with the audit trail

What happens after the signature

The new project inherits the template you chose, so a signed website proposal becomes a website project with the phases, milestones, meetings and documents already in place. The client portal link is ready to send the same day. The scope of work can be drafted from the proposal and sent for signature as the first milestone. Status reports, change requests and acceptance follow from there.

Proposals and the rest of Planmoor

Proposals are included on Pro at $9 a seat and on Agency, alongside unlimited e-signatures, timesheets, profitability and the report library. See pricing, or read how proposals fit the agency workflow.

Questions people ask

Which plans include proposals?
Proposals are on Pro and Agency. Free workspaces can send a small number of proposals during the trial to see how it works.
Can I use my own template?
Yes. A proposal is written in a simple Markdown-style editor with headings, bullets and line items, and you can start from a methodology template or save your own.
What does the client see?
A public page with your branding, the proposal text, line items with tax and totals, the validity date and an accept and sign button. No account needed.
Can I attach a deposit?
Yes. Set a deposit percentage or amount and the invoice is raised the moment the client signs.
